Liverpool to win by 2 or more goals

Liverpool are travelling to face Austrian Bundesliga side LASK Linz in the Europa League this week, and I’m backing them to win this one very comfortably. The Reds are unbeaten in 16 in the Premier League and are favourites to go all the way in the Europa League. They are normally a regular, and one of the best teams in the Champions League. However, a disappointing league campaign last season has them in the Europa. They will be looking to make their mark in this competition and progress to the next round, and I think they will get the victory here and win by two or more goals.

 

 Sascha Horvath to be booked

Sascha Horvath plays in the middle of the park for LASK Linz, and that’s where Liverpool will be controlling the game. Horvath will be forced into making a number of fouls as his side have their backs to the wall, and I think that means he is great odds to pick up a yellow card. He has picked up two yellow cards in the league so far this season, and was yellow carded in Linz’ last Europa League qualifying game. I’m backing him to get another here.

 

Darwin Nunez over 1.5 shots on target

I think Darwin Nunez will start up front for Liverpool in this one. He has proved himself to be a vital part of Jurgen Klopp’s side so far this season, especially by scoring two late ditch goals against Newcastle to take all three points at St James’ Park. Liverpool will have a lot of chances in this one and I think Darwin Nunez is good odds to score, but I’m taking him to have at least two shots on target.
