Arsenal come in to this one level with Sporting after a 2-2 draw in Portugal last week and will need to win here to progress in the competition. Mikel Arteta’s side are flying in the Premier League and won’t want to drop out of Europe either, and I’m backing them to bring their league form into this one and pick up the victory against Ruben Amorim’s Sporting side. Arsenal have won each of their last five in the Premier League and won’t risk being beaten here by resting players for the league. They’ll come out all guns blazing and I expect them to win this one fairly comfortably.

 

Gabrielle Martinelli over 0.5 shots on target

Gabrielle Martinelli was on the scoresheet against Fulham on Sunday with the second goal of the game in a dominant first half display from the Gunners in which they were leading 0-3 at the break. Martinelli has 12 Premier League goals to his name this season from the 26 starts and one sub appearance he has made. He averages 2.69 shots per game, with an average of 0.98 shots on target. In the Europa League he has no goals, but averages 2.61 shots per game, with 0.46 on target. I think Arsenal will be quick out the blocks in this one and I’m backing Martinelli to have at least one shot on target.

 

Bukayo Saka to be booked

For an attacking player, Bukayo Saka has picked up his fair share of yellow cards so far this season. The England star has five Premier League bookings to his name this season, averaging 1.18 fouls per game. In the Europa League, he has been booked once in three starts and four sub appearances so far, averaging 0.76 fouls per game. I think he is excellent odds to pick up a booking in this one as he tracks back to help out his defenders.
