The last time these two met in the league it ended 2-1 to Villa. I’m backing both teams to score again in this one.

Ollie Watkins has been on fire for Aston Villa this season, and you can guarantee he will be amongst the chances as his side host Spurs this weekend. The striker is in the hunt for a place on the plane with Gareth Southgate’s England squad for the Euros, and will be keen to impress once again. He has bagged himself 16 goals this season, with 39 shots on target in his 27 league appearances, an average well over one per game. I think he is great odds to have at least one shot on target in this one.

• John McGinn to be booked

John McGinn will be one man who is definitely getting stuck in here, as he comes up against a very physical Spurs midfield. The Villa captain has a physical element to his game, and won’t shy away from any challenges as his side seek the three points to widen the gap with their opponents. In his 27 league appearances, he has picked up seven yellow cards, making 33 fouls, an average of over one per game. I expect him to make a number of fouls here, and won’t be surprised to see him carded.
