Bournemouth betting tips

Bournemouth vs Newcastle bet builder tips and match predictions for this weekend’s Sunday fixture in the Premier League.

Betting Odds:

  • Newcastle are favourites at 6/5 to get the victory on the road this weekend.
  • The draw is 11/4 between the two sides.
  • If you fancy the home side, they are slight underdogs at 2/1 for the victory on Bet365.

Two o’clock on Sunday sees Newcastle travel to Bournemouth to take on the Cherries in the second weekend of the season. Newcastle were narrow victors over Southampton last weekend, while Bournemouth were held to a 1-1 draw by Nottingham Forest.

Newcastle finished seventh last year and will be looking to better that this time around with at least a top six finish. They are 4/6 on to secure one of those spots with Bet 365.

Bournemouth finished 12th last season, and they are 9/4 to be more successful this year and finish in the top half.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle Predictions

Following Newcastle’s win over Southampton last weekend, we’re betting them to make it two from two as they take on Bournemouth. As Eddie Howe comes up against his former club, he will be confident that his strong squad can come away with all three points.

Alexander Isak is always a danger for the Magpies. The Swede was excellent for Newcastle last season, bagging 21 goals in 30 Premier League appearances, racking up 43 shots on target, averaging well over one per game. We’re expecting Newcastle to have plenty of the ball in this one and create a lot of chances, and Isak will be lurking. He’s great odds to have at least one shot on target here.

We’re backing cards in this one, and have selected two players to see yellow. Bruno Guimaraes has certainly made his mark on Tyneside and is known for his passion and aggression. The Brazilian midfielder made a massive 50 fouls in his 37 league outings last campaign, picking up nine yellow cards. He’s great odds to pick up a booking here. Bournemouth’s Alex Scott is also good odds to be booked. He didn’t pick up a huge number of cards last season, with three in his 23 league appearances. However, last weekend he made eight tackles with a success rate of only 50%, so I don’t think it will be long until he picks up his first card this season.

As well as this weekend’s bet builder tips we also have a Premier League accumulator tip for both Saturday and Sunday and this will be the same throughout the season.
