We’re backing Arsenal to take all three points as they visit Brentford on New Years Day. The Gunners have won eight of their last 10 in all competitions, drawing the other two, and haven’t been beaten since a 1-0 defeat away to Inter at the beginning of November, so they are in really good form. Brentford have won just three of their last 10 in all competitions, and have failed to win in their last four. I think Arsenal will this one comfortably.

That said, I do think both teams will find the back of the net. Despite Brentford being goalless in their last two, they have noticed 32 Prem goals this season, equal to the likes of Man City and Newcastle. They have shipped the same amount though, so their defensive record lets them down. I think Arsenal will take advantage of that, having scored 35 league goals this season, and I think they’ll get a couple to cancel out a Brentford goal here. This selection is good odds, and I think it has a strong chance.

Gabriel Jesus is the man we’re backing for a shot on target here. The Arsenal front man has scored five in his last three games, and I think he will have a number of chances on goal here. He does have just five shots on target in the league, but with Brentford’s frailties at the back I think there’s a great chance of him either scoring, or at least having one or more shots on target.

We’re going for Christian Norgaard to be booked as well. The midfielder has picked up two yellow cards and one red in his 15 league appearances so far this season. He has also been carded once in the Carabao Cup. In the league, he has made 20 fouls, an average of 1.5 per game, and I think he will make a few here against a very good Arsenal midfield.
