Brentford to win

Brentford have had a reasonable start to the season as they sit 11^th in the league with three draws, one win and one defeat from their first five. At home in this one, I’m backing them to beat Everton, a side who are yet to win so far this season, drawing one and losing four. The Toffees are struggling, and I think that will continue their visit to London to face a Brentford side who will be looking to get back to winning ways following their defeat to Newcastle.

Last season, Bryan Mbuemo averaged just under two shots per game, with 0.87 of those being on target. In his 33 starts and two sub appearances, he bagged himself six goals, with an xG of 8.68. This season Mbuemo has bagged four goals already, as the Bees are without main striker Ivan Toney due to a ban. Mbuemo is now Brentford’s penalty taker this season, so couple that with the fact I expect them to create a number of chances, I think he is good odds to have at least one shot on target.

In the league last season, the Scottish youngster picked up six yellow cards in just 20 starts and three sub appearances. This season has seen him collect three yellow cards already, including one against Newcastle in their 1-0 defeat at the hands of Eddie Howe’s side last time out. I think Hickey is good odds to receive a booking in this one.
