Everton to win

Everton haven’t enjoyed the best of starts to this campaign under Frank Lampard, winning just three of their opening 13 matches in the Premier League. However, they are unbeaten in their last two, beating Crystal Palace 3-0 and drawing away to Fulham. Two of  three of Everton’s victories so far this season have come at Goodison Park, and that was two of their last three home games. In fact, the Toffees have only lost at home this season to Manchester United and Chelsea, two games they can’t be too unhappy to lose. Leicester have lost all but one of their games on the road this season, and I think they will be defeated again in this one and Everton will keep all three points on Merseyside.

 

Both teams to score

I think Everton will win this one, but I don’t think it will be a complete hammering, and I expect Leicester to at least get themselves on the scoresheet. Despite being 18^th in the league table, Brendan Rodgers’ side have a really good goal tally, netting 21 times in their opening 13 games, the highest number of goals for any side in the bottom half of the table. Their problem is conceding goals, and as they’ve conceded 25 already this season, I expect them to lose a few again here. I think this selection of the bet builder will land comfortably.

 

Nathan Patterson to be carded

Nathan Patterson is not shy of getting stuck in and I’m backing him to pick up a booking against Leicester. The Scotsman has picked up two bookings so far this season in the eight games he has played, with his last yellow coming in a 1-1 draw away to Leeds United. In that fixture, he was up against Jack Harrison, this time out he is likely to face Harvey Barnes, who as we know can turn on the style and beat his man with ease. I expect Patterson to make a couple of fouls in this one and I won’t be surprised to see him enter the referee’s book.
