Man City to win both halves

Manchester City have been incredible of late. Last time out, they dismantled Wolves with ease at the Etihad with a 5-1 victory, with four goals from Erling Haaland and one from Julian Alvarez topping off a truly five star display for Pep Guardiola’s side. In 90 minutes, they are unbeaten in their last 32 fixtures in all competitions, only exiting the Champions League on penalties at the hands of Real Madrid. That’s a remarkable run, and I expect that to continue in this one against a Fulham side who have only won one in their last five.

 

Erling Haaland to score

As I mentioned previously, Haaland scored four last time out against Wolves, taking his tally to 25 for the season, making him top scorer in the league once again. That’s some feat for a man who was injured for a good number of games, missing seven of City’s 35 league fixtures this campaign. He will have a number of chances here against a Fulham side who have shipped 55 goals in the league. He has scored seven in his last five, and I’m backing him to add to his tally here.

Joao Palhinha to be booked

I’m backing Joao Palhinha to pick up a booking in this one. In his 31 league appearances for Fulham this season, he has picked up a massive 13 cards, making 50 fouls in the process, an average of of 1.5 fouls per game. He will be in for an incredibly difficult fixture against a talented Manchester City midfield featuring the likes of Rodri and Kevin De Bruyne. He’s a certainty to make a number of fouls in this fixture, and I think he will pick up his 14th booking of this league campaign this weekend.
