Greece vs Scotland Predictions

I think both teams to score is a great bet here as both teams will be fighting to either remain or be promoted to League A of the Nations League. Both teams will be at it from the off, and I expect Greece to control the game at home, creating plenty of chances. That said, Scotland are great on the counterattack, so I think they’ll have their chances too, with the likes of McTominay, McGinn and Christie quick to break. Both teams have scored in seven of Scotland’s last 10 games, while Greece have scored in eight of their last 10. I think this is a good bet here.

Scott McTominay is having a great season in Serie A for Napoli. He has scored seven goals for the Italian giants so far this season, in 28 appearances in all competitions. He has had 16 shots on target in his 26 Serie A appearances, an average of over 0.5 per game. The former Manchester United man really turns it on in the navy blue of Scotland, bagging eight goals in his 11 appearances throughout the EURO 2024 qualifiers and in the competition itself. I think he’s great odds to have at least one shot on target here.

We’ve gone for two players to be carded – Ryan Porteous and Christos Zafeiris. Porteous is a very physical and aggressive central defending, who has picked up nine yellow cards in the English Championship this season – seven in the first half of the season at Watford, and two since joining Preston on loan in January. He was sent off in his last appearance for Scotland – that 5-1 hammering against Germany in the opening game of EURO 24. Zafeiris has turned out 29 times for Slavia Praha this season, in the Czech first league, Champions League and Europa League. In those games, he has been carded five times. The former Norway under 21 international, who has opened to play for Greece, has been carded twice in the five Nations League appearances he has made for his country. I think both players are good odds to be carded here.
