Ipswich vs Man City 17/2 Bet Builder Tip, Predictions and Best Bets

Ipswich betting tips

Ipswich vs Man City bet builder tips and match predictions for Sunday’s fixture in the Premier League with a player to have a shot on target and player to be booked.

Betting odds

  • Man City are 1/3 favourites for the win away from home
  • The draw is 9/2
  • An Ipswich win at home is 7/1

Man City have had a terrible season by their standards and find themselves in sixth place, 12 points off the top of the league. They have picked up recently however, and are unbeaten in their last five. They are 25/1 to overturn the gap and win the league.

Ipswich are 17th in the league, level on points with Wolves who occupy 18th place at the minute. They are 10/11 to be relegated and 4/5 to avoid the drop.

Ipswich vs Man City Predictions

I expect Man City to win this one against a lowly Ipswich side. City haven’t had the best of seasons, but their form has flipped slightly and they are unbeaten in their last five fixtures in all competitions. Ipswich have won only two of their last 10 in the league, and coming up against City here I don’t think they’re likely to pick up a win. City will be keen to close the gap on the top four, and I think they’ll win this one comfortably.

I think both teams will score, despite backing a City win. Ipswich are battling for their lives towards the bottom of the table, and they won’t go down without a fight, even if they are coming up against the champions. City have conceded 29 goals this season, which is more than teams like Man United, Crystal Palace and Everton who all occupy places in the lower half of the table. Their defence is far from convincing, and I think Ipswich will have a chance or two here, especially at home. Taking both teams to score here adds real value to this bet builder.

We’re going for City’s Savinho to have over 0.5 shots on target. The Brazilian forward has looked dangerous for City this season, featuring 18 times and scoring one goal. In those 18 appearances, he has managed 14 shots on target, an average not too shy of one per game. I expect city to have most of the ball in this one and create a number of chances, so I think he’s great odds to have at least one shot on target here.

Our final selection is Ipswich’s Sam Morsy to be booked. The midfielder has featured 18 times for the Tractor Boys this season, picking up seven yellow cards and making 36 fouls, an average of exactly two per game. It could be more than two here as he comes up against a Man City midfield who love to keep the ball. He could grow frustrated at his sides lack of possession, and I think he’s great odds to pick up his eighth card of the league campaign.

  • Man City to win
  • Both teams to score
  • Savinho over 0.5 shots on target
  • Sam Morsy to be booked
