Aston Villa slightly turned a corner prior to the international break, drawing with Manchester City and winning 1-0 against Southampton. Steven Gerrard and his side will be keen to build on their form with a win on the road, against a Leeds side who haven’t won in their last three. I expect Villa to be up for this one, and build on the foundations they have created in the last two matches.

I expect this one to be a fiercely competitive match, between two massive clubs that need to get points on the board. Leeds have had a minimum of two yellow cards in all but one of their Premier League matches so far this season, while Villa a player booked in each of their league matches. In fact, Villa have had more than one player booked in all but one. I think this one is a safe bet.

 

Jacob Ramsay to have 1+ shots on target

Jacob Ramsay has been one of the better performers in the Aston Villa squad so far this season. In Villa’s last game, a 1-0 victory over Southampton, Ramsay was the man on the scoresheet and I expect him to at least threaten to do so again in this one. With Villa likely to be up for this against a team who are only one point ahead of them in the table, I expect them to have chances, and wouldn’t be surprised to see Ramsay get at least one shot on target.
