Manchester City vs Newcastle United Bet Builder Tip

  • Manchester City to win
  • de Lira Joelinton to be booked
  • Jack Grealish over 0.5 shots on target

ODDS – 7/1 with Bet365

Manchester City to win

Man City are continuing the chase of league leaders Arsenal, and they’ll want to continue to keep the pace at the top of the table in the hope that the Gunners drop points. City are in a decent run of form, and are unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions with four wins and two draws in that time. In their last league game, they hammered Bournemouth 1-4 away from home, and I think they’ll win again in this one. Newcastle come in to this one on the back of some cup final heartbreak against City’s neighbours Manchester United. The Magpies haven’t won in their last four, losing that game against United, losing to Liverpool, and drawing with both Bournemouth and West Ham. I’m backing Pep Guardiola’s side to come out on top in this one.

Joelinton to be booked

de Lira Joelinton is a player who has become used to having a yellow card or two shown to him this season. In the Premier League, he has picked up a massive nine yellow cards in his 20 starts and one sub appearance so far this season. He averages 1.82 fouls per game and I expect him to make a number of fouls against a very difficult Man City side. He was booked against Man United in last weeks Carabao Cup final, and I think there’s a good chance he will collect his 10th of the season in this one.

Jack Grealish over 0.5 shots on target

Jack Grealish has become a main outlet for City of late, and I’m backing him to have at least one shot on target in this one against Newcastle. The ex-Aston Villa winger averages 0.5 shots on target per game and has scored three league goals so far this season. I expect him to have a lot of joy in this one and think he will have a number of chances. I think he is excellent odds for a shot on target here.
