I think Man United will win this one very comfortably against a Southampton side who have won only one game in the league this season, and have won only one game in their last 12 in all competitions – a 3-0 victory over Swansea last time out in the FA Cup. United have drawn their last two, and despite a poor season so far, I think they’ll have more than enough to overcome Southampton at Old Trafford.

We’re going for Bruno Fernandes to score or assist here. The United captain scored last time out against Arsenal, taking him to six goals for the season across all competitions. In his 27 appearances for United this season, he also has 10 assists – six in the league, two in the Europa League and two in the Carabao Cup. I think United will create a lot of chances here, and Bruno Fernandes has a great chance of either scoring, assisting or both.

The two players we’re backing to be carded are Nathan Wood and Manuel Ugarte. Wood-Gordon has made 10 appearances for Southampton this season in the league and the Carabao Cup. He has picked up two yellow cards in seven league appearances and one in his three outings in the Carabao Cup. Both of his league bookings came in December, and I think there’s a good chance he will be booked here. We’re also backing United midfielder Manuel Ugarte to be booked. He’s a hard-hitting, no-nonsense midfielder who has been carded five times in 14 league appearances for United this season. In those 14 matches, he has fouled 22 times, and I think there’s a good chance he will pick up a booking here.
