Newcastle to win

Newcastle have had an excellent season so far, reaching the Carabao Cup Final and currently sitting in sixth place in the Premier League after 24 matches. However, they haven’t won a Premier League game since the 15th of January when they defeated Fulham at St James’ Park. That said, their opposition this weekend have had a fairly poor season and currently lie in 13th place, just five points above the relegation zone. I think Newcastle will get back to winning ways in this one.

Ruben Neves to be booked

Ruben Neves is known for his physicality and picking up a yellow card or two in the Premier League. This season, the Portuguese midfielder has collected nine yellow cards already in just 25 Premier League appearances. He averages a huge 0.35 yellow cards per game, with an average of 0.97 fouls per game. He will be in for a difficult afternoon in this one against a very competent Newcastle midfield who are also very physical, and I think he will be forced into making a number of fouls here. He is 7/5 to be booked as a single, therefore adding him amongst other selections on a bet builder is a solid choice. I think he will pick up his 10th Premier League booking of the season in this one.

Miguel Almiron over 0.5 shots on target

Miguel Almiron has been one of the shining lights for Newcastle this season, despite not being in the best of form of late. I’m backing him to get at least one shot on target in this one, a game I expect Newcastle to spend the majority of on the front foot. Almiron has played 24 times in the Premier League this season for the Magpies, scoring 10 goals from a total of 30 shots, 16 of which have been on target. He averages 2.26 shots per game with 0.76 being on target, and I think he will have at least one on target against Wolves.
