Arsenal to win

If Arsenal are to go on and win the league, they will likely have to win each of their remaining games, while hoping Man City drop points along the way. The Gunners lie top of the pile, but only one point ahead of Man City who have played one game less. On the other side of this fixture, if Spurs lose, they can all but kiss goodbye to their hopes of finishing in the top four, as they currently lie six behind Aston Villa who occupy fourth. I don’t expect Arsenal to slip up here against their North London rivals. They have won eight of their last 10, with one defeat and one draw in that time. They have only lost one of their last six against Spurs, and I don’t think they will be beaten here.

In each of those last six, there has always been goals. In four of them, both teams have scored, with the other two finishing 3-0 and 2-0. Earlier this season, they played out a 2-2 draw at the Emirates, and I think there will be goals again here, but with Arsenal coming out on top this time. Arsenal have been free scoring since the turn of the year, scoring four or more goals on six occasions, including a 5-0 thumping of Chelsea last time out. Spurs were hammered 4-0 by Newcastle last time out, but prior to that had scored in nine of their previous 10. I think both teams to score is a good bet here in what will be a fast paced derby fixture.

 

Cristian Romero to be booked

He’s having a great season for Spurs is Cristian Romero. That said, he’s probably booked more of than his manager Ange Postecoglu would like. The physical defender has been shown yellow on six occasions and been sent off once in his 27 appearances for Spurs this season. In that time, he has made 22 fouls, an average not far shy of one per game. I expect him to get stuck in here against Spurs’ fiercest rivals, and he’s great odds to be shown a card.
