West Ham vs Arsenal Predictions

Following their win in the Champions League midweek, Arsenal make the short trip to face West Ham in the Premier League this Saturday. Arsenal are 10/3 to win the league behind favourites Liverpool.

West Ham haven’t had the strongest season so far, and they are currently 14th in the league. However, they are 14/1 to be relegated and 3/1 for a top-half finish and Monday night’s 2-0 win at Newcastle will have installed some confidence in the side.

⭐Prediction 1 – Who will win?

We’re backing Arsenal to win this one on the road. The Gunners come into this one off the back of a huge 1-5 win away from home against Sporting Lisbon in the Champions League and haven’t lost in their last three in all competitions. West Ham on the other hand are amidst a very mixed run of form. They did win last time out against Newcastle but that followed a 0-0 draw with Everton and a 3-0 defeat away to Forest. I think Arsenal will win this one fairly comfortably.

⭐Prediction 2 – Havertz to have a shot on target

Kai Havertz is the player we’re taking for a shot on target in this one. He was on target this week against Sporting Lisbon, taking his tally to eight for the season, two in the Champions League, two in the Carabao Cup and four in the league. In his 11 Premier League appearances so far this season he has had 10 shots on target. West Ham will be in for a tough 90 minutes against Arsenal here, and Kai Havertz will be right in amongst it.

⭐Prediction 3 – Havertz to get a yellow card

We’re also backing Havertz to be booked. He hasn’t picked up as many cards as expected for the number of fouls he’s made this season. He has fouled 20 times in 11 games, picking up just two cards in the process. That said, I think he will foul here and pick up his third card of the season.

Edson Alvarez is the second player we’re backing to pick up a yellow card here. In his eight Premier League appearances so far this season he has been carded three times. He has also been booked once in the Carabao Cup this season. In the league, he has made 13 fouls in those eight fixtures, and given Arsenal will have majority of possession here I think he will be forced into a number of fouls. He’s great odds for a card.
