While Bournemouth might find themselves in the midst of a Premier League nightmare, reports have suggested that one of their key first-team stars has both AC Milan and Juventus chasing his signature.

While the January transfer window might not open for a couple of months, it appears that two of Italy’s most iconic clubs are leading the chase to snap up Bournemouth’s defensive talisman.

Although Lloyd Kelly might have struggled with a string of injury issues since opening up the new campaign, the 25-year-old has been a key part of the Cherries’ first-team squad since arriving from Bristol City back in 2019.

Making six Premier League appearances this season, the former England U21 international has some serious European icons chasing his signature ahead of the January transfer window.

With Kelly’s current deal at the Vitality set to expire next summer, reports on Thursday have suggested that both AC Milan and Juventus have made their intentions clear.

Pressure remains on Iraola’s position

While Bournemouth might have claimed a first Premier League victory of the season at home against Burnley last weekend as they clung to a crucial 2-1 victory, the Cherries still find themselves tipped as a leading relegation contender.

Struggling to find any kind of stability since they appointed Andoni Iraola over the summer, the former Rayo Vallecano boss has found mounting pressure on his shoulders.

Crashing out of the EFL Cup earlier in the week as they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Premier League giants Liverpool, Bournemouth face another monumental challenge on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of a trip to defending champions Manchester City, Iraola’s side face the real prospect of dropping back into the relegation zone.
