Ange Postecoglu’s Salary & Tottenham Contract: How Much Does The Spurs Boss Earn?
While Tottenham might have missed out on booking any kind of European adventure last season, Spurs have enjoyed a stunning rise since they appointed Ange Postecoglou over the summer.
Already making history in north London after winning three consecutive Manager of the Month awards, the Australian tactician has a budding reputation as one of the Premier League’s hottest coaches.
Looking to guide Spurs to a Champions League return this season, we have taken an in-depth look at the finances behind Tottenham’s appointment and Postecoglou’s salary.
How much did Tottenham pay to get Postecoglou in?
At the heart of a messy divorce with both Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho over the past couple of years, many were wondering who Daniel Levy would turn to next in order to steady Spurs’ sinking ship.
While Postecoglou might have been somewhat of an unknown quantity when arriving at Scottish giants Celtic back in 2021, the 58-year-old currently finds his stock at a red-hot high.
Initially joining the Old Firm icons on a 12-month rolling contract, Postecoglou enjoyed a history-making spell in Glasgow.
During his two-season stay with Celtic, the ex-Australian boss guided the Hoops to six domestic trophies across all competitions.
With Levy reportedly hugely impressed by his initial interviews with Postecoglou over the summer, it is believed that the Tottenham hierarchy had to pay Celtic £5million in compensation.

What is Postecoglou’s salary and how long is his current deal at Spurs?
While former boss Conte might have been sitting on a salary of £15million during his nightmare stint in north London, it is believed that Postecoglou earns considerably less than his predecessor.
Although the one-time Melbourne Victory manager might not be given Conte’s remarkable financial package, he has certainly received a hefty pay rise from the £40,000-per-week he was handed by Celtic prior to his Premier League switch.
Although Spurs’ boss might not sit among the Premier League’s most lucrative managers, it has been suggested that Postecoglou’s current salary will see him earn £5million every season.
Putting pen to paper on a bumper four-year deal with Tottenham back in June, the 58-year-old couldn’t have dreamt of a better start to his Premier League tenure.
Set to stay put in north London until 2027 and with the option of a further year included in Postecoglou’s contract, Spurs finally feel that they have a long-term boss who can end their trophy drought.

Can Postecoglou guide Tottenham to a Champions League return?
Coming under a huge amount of scrutiny last season as they eventually missed out on booking any kind of European finish, few Tottenham fans would have expected their remarkable rise under Postecoglou.
Suffering just a pair of Premier League defeats from their first 12 top-flight appearances this season, the ex-Celtic boss should have a Champions League return at the top of his agenda.
While fans around north London might have already accepted that a famous title charge is nothing more than a dream for this season, a top-four finish is certainly achievable in 2024.
