This Week’s 6 Scores Challenge at bet365
In another week of Premier League action, this weekend’s 6 Scores Challenge fixtures are shared across selected Saturday and Sunday games.
On Saturday, Leicester and Aston Villa face off in a Midlands clash at 15:00, with Nuno Espirito Santo facing his former club at 15:00 also when Nottingham Forest host Wolves. For the 17:30 evening game, Manchester City head to the capital to face West Ham.
Kicking off at 13:30 on Sunday, Newcastle and Tottenham face-off having started the season in similar fashion, with an all-London affair between Chelsea and Crystal Palace also kicking off at 13:30. Arguably the headline fixture for this weekend’s 6 Scores Challenge, the final game will take place at 16:00 where Manchester United and Liverpool play out their historic rivalry once more.
Can you take on the free-to-play challenge and secure a share of the £250,000 jackpot prize this week?
Leicester v Aston Villa | Saturday 15:00 | Make your prediction here
Going off the first two league games, Leicester are not going to be looking to dominate ball-possession in games. They pinched a draw against Spurs in their first game after having 29% possession, but did well to remain resolute. Against Fulham in their latest league game, they weren’t too dissimilar from their London opponents, but are failing to make clear chances to win games.
Speaking of chances to win games, Ollie Watkins will want to quickly forget about his two opportunities against Arsenal. With the game at 0-0, not only did he miss what was essentially an open goal, but he was denied a diving header, with much of the goal exposed, by a reactive save. You’d expect this to be an opportunity for Villa, and Watkins, to bounce back convincingly.
Nottm Forest v Wolves | Saturday 15:00 | Make your prediction here
Nottingham Forest were unfortunate to concede late and share the points with Bournemouth in their opening game, but got their rewards against Southampton. Nuno’s side are patient without the ball, only having 35% against Southampton, but were constantly countering and peppering shots. With 23 shots, eight on target, Forest were rightful winners. Wolves are looking fragile currently, and Nuno looks poised to punish his former employers.
Wolves desperately need to try and add some quality to their squad. Having Arsenal and Chelsea in their two opening games would not have been the most gentle beginning to a Premier League season, but they’re looking very open defensively, and the 6-2 defeat to Chelsea only emphasised that. Can Gary O’Neil turn their fortunes around sooner rather than later?
West Ham v Man City | Saturday 17:30 | Make your prediction here
West Ham went toe-to-toe with Aston Villa as they narrowly lost in the opening game, but it showed how they belong against a top side on their day. Julen Lopetegui is continuing to develop his Hammers, and they were physical and potent in their 2-0 win over Crystal Palace last weekend. They’re just waiting on one of their strikers to get the ball rolling in terms of goals, but it is still early as they create chances.
Last week, we outlined that the standard approach for Pep Guardiola’s side is a Man City win, and Haaland goal. Although this was true against Chelsea, the Norwegian goal-machine scored a hattrick against Ipswich to take his tally to four goals in two games. West Ham will be a sterner test, against a more-experienced manager; but how do you stop the winning machine that is Man City? I predict Man City win. Haaland goal.

Newcastle v Tottenham | Sunday 13:30 | Make your prediction here
Eddie Howe’s side would have been disappointed to draw against Bournemouth, given their dominance across possession, shots, and shots on target. They’re actively trying to add quality to their squad, with Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace a clear target, and Sandro Tonali feeling like a new signing with his ban ending. They’ve survived with 10-men already, but they need to start firing if they’re to combat a high-energy Spurs who will get chances.
Spurs looked brilliant in their opener against Leicester City, but for all their brilliance they were unable to take the points. They immediately responded in the following game against Everton as they relentlessly bettered lacklustre opposition, and gained plenty of confidence by bagging four goals. It has all the makings of being a thrilling game, and you wouldn’t be surprised to see a game where two sides go for an attacking approach rather than being defensively-focused.
Chelsea v Crystal Palace | Sunday 13:30 | Make your prediction here
Chelsea expectedly lost to Man City in game one, but were ruthless in their 6-2 win against Wolves. They are conceding a couple of goals a game, but for a side with plenty of players on their books, they’ll be happy they looked like a cohesive unit. Whether it’s the start of some consistency, who knows, but at least they know there’s also the talent to rest on with the likes of Pedro Neto, Joao Felix and hattrick-hero Noni Madueke an option for a Cole Palmer pass.
Given their strong end to last season, it has been a stuttering start for Oliver Glasner and his Crystal Palace side. Maybe it is a slight teething period having lost a huge attacking threat in Michael Olise, but they still boast some key talent in Adam Wharton, Eberechi Eze, and Jean-Philippe Mateta. Keeping Marc Guehi could be crucial too, but they’ll hope to de-rail Chelsea in pursuit of their free-flowing form of last season again.
Man Utd v Liverpool | Sunday 16:00 | Make your prediction here
It feels like the first major clash of the season will take place this weekend, as Arne Slot will experience his first Manchester United v Liverpool derby.
Ahead of the battle of the Dutch managers, Slot has started life in Liverpool positively. With two convincing 2-0 wins, both showcasing how entertaining his style will be, he received huge support from The Kop in his first home game. A thoughtful approach that sees his side put their foot fully on the throttle when the opportunity presents itself, you can see how goals will feature if Man United show up like they did against Brighton.
In their last game against The Seagulls, United failed to make the most of the ball to create chances. They were unfortunate to see the ball bounce off of Joshua Zirkzee’s knee to have a goal chalked off for offside, but it was offside nonetheless. There’s a slight risk that, given their narrow win against Fulham, a loss against their rivals on Sunday could begin to conjure that familiar negative feeling around ten Hag and Old Trafford. Even more negative if it’s a scoreline similar to that 7-0 loss.
