19:45 Accrington Stanley vs Boreham Wood

Although Accrington Stanley might still find themselves at the heart of a League One relegation scrap, John Coleman’s side have clinched a much-needed boost during the past week. Putting in an eye-catching display over the weekend as they secured a 2-0 victory against play-off contenders Bristol Rovers, Tuesday’s hosts have lost just a pair of their previous 11 appearances across all competitions. With that run stemming all the way back to November 12th, the Lancashire-based outfit will be looking to keep up that momentum here. While Boreham Wood might have shocked many as they snatched a late FA Cup replay earlier in the month following their 1-1 draw at Meadow Park, it doesn’t cover what has been an extended wobble. Without a single victory from any of their previous five outings, the National League outfit will know they face a tough challenge in midweek.

Prediction: Accrington Stanley to qualify

Best Odds: 1/2

19:45 Swansea vs Bristol City

While Swansea might have shown some extended issues prior to the World Cup’s winter break, Tuesday’s hosts will be boosted by a rampant display over the weekend. Eventually storming their way to a 3-1 romp away at Sunderland, the Whites have now lost just one of their previous four showdowns against Championship opposition. Likewise, signing off 2022 with a stellar 4-0 victory at home against Watford, Russell Martin’s men should be confident of extending on their FA Cup adventure here. Despite throwing away the lead at Ashton Gate on January 8th as they had to settle for a 1-1 draw, Swansea will be boosted by an impressive record against their Championship rivals. In fact, including a 3-1 win when they welcomed Bristol City to the Liberty last season, Martin’s side have lost just one of their last eight meetings against the Robins.

Prediction: Swansea win

Best Odds: 19/20

19:45 Wigan vs Luton

Suffering a real Championship collapse over the weekend as they eventually fell to a 3-2 loss against West Brom, Luton will be seeking an immediate response here. Despite watching their four-match unbeaten run come to an abrupt end last time out, Tuesday’s guests will be glad to turn their attention back to FA Cup duties. With many in their camp dreaming of another shock play-off finish this season, new boss Rob Edwards has also seen his side claim back-to-back victories away from Kenilworth Road. On the flip side, while Wigan might have clung to an FA Cup replay in Bedfordshire on January 7th, the Latics are in the midst of a real nightmare. Tipped as one of the leading contenders to lose their Championship status in 2023, Kolo Toure’s downbeat squad are without a single win from any of their last seven consecutive appearances.

Prediction: Luton to qualify

Best Odds: 7/10

19:45 Wolves vs Liverpool

Blown away thanks to a 3-0 drumming away at Brighton over the weekend, Liverpool now find a huge amount of pressure on their shoulders. Likewise, opening 2023 with a nightmare display in the capital as they were hit with a 3-1 defeat against Brentford, Jurgen Klopp’s superstars could face a tricky FA Cup replay on Tuesday night. Clinging onto a controversial 2-2 draw at Anfield earlier in the month, the former Premier League champions will once again meet a Wolves squad who have found a much-needed boost since appointing Julen Lopetegui. Snatching a deserved 1-0 victory at home against a struggling West Ham a few days ago, the former Spain boss has seen his new side skyrocket their way out of the drop zone. Losing just one of their last seven straight domestic contests within 90 minutes, the midweek hosts should be looking to lay down a shock marker here.

Prediction: Wolves to qualify

Best Odds: 8/5

20:00 West Brom vs Chesterfield

Mounting that stunning comeback away at Luton over the weekend and continuing on a remarkable purple patch, West Brom should find the mood in their camp at a real high. Really finding their feet under new boss Carlos Corberan, the Baggies have now lost just one of their previous eight matchups across all competitions. Despite eventually having to settle for that action-packed 3-3 draw away at Tuesday’s guests on January 7th, the Championship giants will be looking to extend on their FA Cup adventure at the second attempt. Finding what has been a clinical edge in the final third since opening 2023, West Brom will also be hoping to avoid a potential banana skin at the Hawthorns. Although Corberan’s side might meet a Chesterfield squad who have their sights set on clinching a Football League return this season, the former Premier League outfit are rightfully tipped as a standout pick.

Prediction: West Brom win

Best Odds: 2/5

19:45 Leeds vs Cardiff

Hit with what could be a costly 2-1 loss away at Aston Villa on Friday night, it is no secret that Jesse Marsch finds himself under a huge amount of scrutiny. However, while the former RB Leipzig boss might find his side in the midst of a seven-match winless streak, the Yorkshire-based outfit should be confident of claiming an FA Cup boost here. Avoiding what would have been a disaster in south Wales on January 8th as they eventually snatched a 2-2 draw, Leeds will be looking to finish off the job on home soil. While the Bluebirds might have come within minutes of causing an FA Cup upset last week, that result wasn’t enough to help Mark Hudson keep his job. Sacking their former skipper after just four months in charge, the Championship strugglers have picked up just a single victory across any competition since November 5th.

Prediction: Leeds win

Best Odds: 4/11
