Premier League Fantasy Football Captain Picks for Gameweek 21

A week of squad rotation affected many FPL managers last time, but it was De Bruyne and Mané backers who will be most pleased with goalscoring returns.

There is now just one ore gameweek of the Festive period before the FA Cup Third Round takes centre stage and you need to decide on a captain for Gameweek 21 – see our FPL captains advice below with three options to choose from.

 

Option 1 – Sadio Mané (12.3m) vs Sheffield United

We begin our rundown with Liverpool’s Sadio Mané. He scored the only goal of the game against Wolves to take his tally to ten goals and eight assists for the season. He has returns in seven of his last eight starts but faces a stern Sheffield United next. There is also the chance that Jurgen Klopp could rest some of his big players with one eye on the FA Cup Third Round tie against Everton this weekend.

 

Option 2 – Kevin de Bruyne (12.1m) vs Everton

It was no surprise to see De Bruyne assist yet another goal last time out. The Belgian has an assist in each of the last four and has taken his tally to 14. He also scored in the win over Sheffield United to take him within 5 points of FPL top scorer Jamie Vardy. Everton’s improved form could pose issues for City, but it is rare that Guardiola’s side fails to score.

 

Option 3 – Jamie Vardy (10.1) vs Newcastle

Vardy missed Leicester’s win over West Ham due to the birth of his child but will be back in the starting XI for their trip to Newcastle. Vardy has 17 goals for the season and plays a Newcastle side who have conceded six in their last two. The Foxes frontman has blanked just once from his last 11 appearances.
