Jurgen Klopp filled with praise for ‘outstanding’ Darwin Nunez
Breezing their way to a routine 3-0 romp against Brentford on Sunday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp was filled with praise for Darwin Nunez and his relentless work-rate.
Klopp labels Nunez as ‘outstanding’
While Nunez might have had a pair of first-half strikes ruled out by VAR in Sunday’s 3-0 victory against Brentford, the Uruguayan international has received a string of public praise from his Liverpool boss.
Although the former Benfica star might have endured a difficult start to life at Anfield after completing a blockbuster £64million move last summer, Klopp has stated that the 25-year-old has a crucial role to play across all fronts.
Opening November by finding the net in three appearances on the spin, Nunez has also been handed a start in three of Liverpool’s last four Premier League showdowns.
Cementing his spot as a fan favourite around the red half of Merseyside due to his relentless work-rate off the ball, Klopp has been speaking about how happy he is with Nunez’s current attributions.
“Outstanding! Outstanding! Outstanding!”
“Look at him how he kept the ball for us, who would of thought that last year? That he could do that for us!”
“Standout was Darwin because Brentford wanted ing balls so he started the pressing. Work-rate was insane.”
Jurgen Klopp on Darwin Núñez:
“𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴! 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴! 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗲!
“𝗟𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗶𝗺 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗵𝗲 𝗸𝗲𝗽𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘂𝘀, 𝘄𝗵𝗼 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿? 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗼… pic.twitter.com/krafHzDNrD

Salah extends on his record-breaking romp
Although Nunez might have received most of Klopp’s praise following Sunday’s 3-0 romp against Brentford, it was Mohamed Salah who once again stole most of Liverpool’s headlines.
While there might have been major speculation over the summer that Salah could be the next superstar heading to Saudi Arabia, the Egyptian talisman has enjoyed a remarkable start to the new campaign.
Bagging a classy Premier League brace against Brentford over the weekend, the 31-year-old has now scored 10 goals and recorded a further four assists in his 12 top-flight appearances this season.
While Liverpool might face a real uphill battle in their bid to claim another Premier League crown this season, Salah and co certainly have their sights firmly set on mounting a genuine charge this time around.
