Rotherham vs Burton – Over 2.5 Goals

Rotherham continued their superb form in midweek with another three points against Ipswich. The Millers went close through Kyle Vassell and they were probably a shade lucky to come away with the victory after James Norwood’s late miss. It was the first time in eight games that a Millers’ game ended with fewer than three goals, although that is likely to be an exception. Burton were involved in a very entertaining contest at AFC Wimbledon in midweek and the Brewers are certainly more open on the road. The signing of Jamie Murphy has given them some cutting edge from wide areas, although their defending is still questionnable at times. There have been 11 goals in their last two away games and this could be another entertaining one.

 

Oxford vs Blackpool – Oxford Win

Oxford will have benefitted from having a midweek rest following their FA Cup exploits seven days ago. The Yellows held Newcastle to a goalless draw and they’ll be feeling confident about seeing off an out-of-form Blackpool side. They are winless in four, although with two games in hand, they’ll be desperate to avoid another game without a victory. Blackpool lost at Wycombe in midweek and there are one or two grumblings about manager Simon Grayson. He will be hoping that his new signings click, although it could take a few weeks yet. The Seasiders haven’t kept a clean sheet since November 16th and could suffer another narrow defeat.

 

Fleetwood vs Doncaster – Draw

Since the turn of the year, Fleetwood have become the league’s draw specialists. The Cod Army just cannot seem to get back to winning ways nor can they seem to find the back of the net. Their 0-0 draw with Bristol Rovers was followed by the same result in midweek and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see this one end all-square as well. Donny are incredibly tough to beat, and picked up a point at the Stadium of Light seven days ago. Neither side are easy to breach and this could be a game in which both teams settle for a point.
