Newcastle United Bloggers React to Rafa Benitez Leaving
The Newcastle United fans are in mourning today after the news that much loved manager Rafael Benitez will leave the club on 30th June – and we took a look at the Newcastle United bloggers to see how they have reacted to the news.
The announcement was made by the club on Monday lunchtime and there has been a lot of negative reaction towards the Newcastle board, particularly Mike Ashley. It is thought that he is the man to blame for Benitez refusing a reported £6m contract to stay at St James’ Park. The owner is trying to sell the club and has put hardly any funds into the transfer budget since Benitez took over the then Championship side, three years ago.

When the news broke, @NUFC_Online were one of the first to react, with a simple thank you to Rafa.

What an absolutely pathetic club. I literally have no words https://t.co/2V9i9O9yLq

@NUFC_HQ were equally saddened by the news and have been very active on Twitter this afternoon.
Question to season ticket holders.. What are your plans now?
— NUFC HQ (@NUFC_HQ) June 24, 2019
There has been a lot of talk of Newcastle season ticket holders boycotting matches or even giving up their season tickets, but it is hard to see how this will have any effect unless a significant number of fans follow suit and leave St James’ Park practically empty.

I have renewed now i will be cancelling

No renewal for my two tickets and people need to do the same. He will soon go if no one turns up, continue to spend and he will continue to ruin our club#AshleyOut

Pathetic

It was quite a simple response from Newcastle United podcast @GallogateShots. They have echoed the thoughts of most people in football today, not just the Newcastle United fans.
That’s @walke_mr – but yeah, what he said 👍🏻 https://t.co/HOMkFjVS1E

Mike Ashley does not want to sell #NUFC to BZG
He prefers another interested party as they will allow him to keep SD advertising and merchandising
However the other interested party cannot proceed with the #NUFCtakeover at present, and may not be able to for the next 6 months pic.twitter.com/0aq444t1Gv

It seems as though the potential takeover of Newcastlw United to BZG is looking less and less likely by the day, and @NUFCgallowgate claim that Mke Ashley is the man who is stalling on the deal because he has another offer to consider.

Devastated at today's news. The club is massively out of touch with its supporters. Now is the time for fan action and we, The Newcastle United Supporters Trust are working on that action. More information to follow, make sure you're a member of the trust: https://t.co/JvTadYygn9

The Newcastle supporters trust are pushing for the fans to take action and have said they are working on such an event. It is hard to see how they will have an influence on Ashley as nothing has worked so far.

This club doesn’t want to succeed.
It has its own agenda; its own unique way of destroying every piece of hope, every vestige of positivity that supporters invest in it. It breeds off the contempt that its owner brings to every facet of his business life. #nufc https://t.co/cutHRovdYb— NUFC Fans United (@NUFCFansUtd) June 24, 2019
