Next Leeds Manager Odds: Who are the three leading contenders to replace Jesse Marsch at Leeds?

Hit with what was a costly 1-0 loss away at Nottingham Forest on February 5th, that result was enough to cost Jesse Marsch his job at Elland Road.

While the one-time RB Leipzig boss might have just about dragged Leeds to Premier League safety last season, the Whites once again find themselves at the heart of another relegation scrap.

Arne Slot – Feyenoord

While it might have been West Brom boss Carlos Corberan who found himself tipped as the leading contender immediately following Marsch’s departure, it appears that Leeds have a new number-one choice at the top of their list.

With it announced on Tuesday evening that Corberan had put pen to paper on a new deal with the Championship outfit, it is Arne Slot who now finds himself sat in pole position to take up the hot seat in Yorkshire.

While some fans around Elland Road might be keen on their board appointing someone with Premier League experience on their CV, it appears that the Leeds hierarchy are focused on going in a different direction once again.

Although it might be Slot who currently stands as the odds-on favourite to claim the hot seat in Yorkshire, Andoni Iraola is another leading contender on the potential list to replace Marsch on a full-time basis.

Remarkably sat just three points adrift of former La Liga champions Atletico Madrid and breaking into the top-four, it has been suggested that Iraola has a host of admirers from across the continent.

Previously working under former Leeds boss and Elland Road icon Marcelo Bielsa, the 40-year-old tactician also has a similar philosophy to one of Yorkshire’s most famous figures.

Ange Postecoglou – Celtic

While it might be both Slot and Iraola who are clearly leading the chase to replace Marsch this month, Ange Postecoglou is another notable option who could be on Leeds’ shortlist for their manager to replace Jesse Marsch.

Taking charge at Celtic back in June 2021, the one-time Brisbane Roar boss has taken Scottish football by storm and has certainly led the Hoops on yet another domestic sweep.
