These games are taking place across the divisions and they should serve up plenty of entertainment on Saturday afternoon. West Brom vs Sheffield Wednesday Tip – Over 2.5 Goals

The Baggies have managed to keep a number of clean sheets on the road this season, but the same cannot be achieved at the Hawthornes. WBA have seen Over 2.5 Goals land in 71% of their home matches this season and their failure to keep the opposition off the scoresheet has led to some hugely entertaining encounters. Sheffield Wednesday have been much better under Garry Monk and they battled admirably to secure a 2-2 draw against Swansea prior to the International Break. They’ve averaged 1.50 goals per game and have kept just one clean sheet on their travels. With neither side defending convincing and with plenty of attacking talent on show, this should be very entertaining.  

 

Southend vs Oxford Tip – Over 2.5 Goals

Southend have to be regarded as one of the worst League One sides in recent memory. The Shrimpers’ defence has continually let them down and they have shipped three and seven in their last two home matches. Admittedly, Sol Campbell has improved them, although he’s working with his hands tied behind his back. They are yet to keep a clean sheet here and that is unlikely to change against a free-scoring Oxford side. Admittedly, the yellows have got a few injuries to contend with, although they should have enough to rack up a few goals here. The visitors have conceded in each of their last three, although they stuck two past Accrington and six past Lincoln in recent away trips. They’ve averaged 1.67 goals per match on the road and although they are far more lethal at the Kassam, they should still have enough to land the overs in this one.  

 

Cheltenham vs Colchester Tip – Over 2.5 Goals

The Robins have been fantastic in Gloucestershire this season and their home form has kept them competitive at the top of the table. They’ve averaged 2.50 goals per match although they suffered a rare blip last time out against Forest Green (1-2). 75% of their home matches have featured three or more goals and Colchester’s recent defensive record suggests that they could concede at least a couple here. The visitors are one of the better away sides in the division, although they’ve conceded six times in their last four games outside of Essex. Their last two games have contained a total of nine goals and with the hosts high-scoring ways, this could be a cracker!  

 

Chorley vs Torquay Tip – Over 2.5 Goals

Chorley got back to winning ways with an unlikely 3-2 win away at Chesterfield last weekend. Despite their victory, their lack of defensive solidity is concerning. They’ve now conceded ten goals in their last four games and they could struggle to keep free-scoring Torquay off the score-sheet on Saturday afternoon. The Gulls lost at home to Sutton last weekend, but they’ve been impressive on the road and have won two of their last three matches by a 4-2 scoreline. They’ve scored four times in three of their last four away matches and there’s every chance they could do the same again here. 70% of Torquay’s away matches have contained at least three goals and that pattern should continue this weekend.
