Real Sociedad vs Real Betis – Over 2.5 Goals

This lunchtime kick-off in La Liga should be a fairly entertaining tie. The hosts made a decent start to the campaign although they need to bounce back from two consecutive defeats here. They are typically tough to beat at Anoeta altbough they were turned over by Getafe last time out. That means that they’ve now conceded five goals in their last two outings and Betis will look to take advantage of that. The visitors have picked up just a single point on their travels this season and conceded five times to Villareal in their latest away game. They’ve conceded 16 times this campaign and Sociedad are expected to collect three points for this tie. However, on current evidence, the away side should certainly get on the scoresheet.

 

Bordeaux vs St.Etienne – Over 2.5 Goals

Bordeaux’s recent form has helped them climb up to fourth place in Ligue 1 and they are scoring for fun at the moment. Although they were defeated by PSG in their previous home tie, they have netted ten times in their last five games and stuck three past Toulouse prior to the International Break. They are likely to take advantage of a St.Etienne side who just cannot seem to find any sort of consistency this campaign. The visitors have won back-to-back games and they needed just a single goal to see off Nimes last time out. However, this will be much tougher and they’ve only kept one clean in their first five away trips. Games between these sides are always fiercely contested and there are always plenty of goals. The last five fixtures have ended – 3-0, 3-2, 1-3, 3-0 and 2-2.

 

Hoffenheim vs Schalke – Over 2.5 Goals

Hoffenheim are not the force of old and the departure of Julien Nagelsmann has really hit them hard. They’ve scored just six times in their opening seven games and have conceded eleven times already. However, last time out they surprisingly beat Bayern Munich on the road and that could give them the confidence to kick on here. They’ve lost each of their last two home matches by a 3-0 scoreline although they did net three times against Werder Bremen prior to that. Schalke have been one of the surprise packages of the campaign so far and they haven’t been defeated since August 24th. They’ve netted 14 times in their last five matches and are full of confidence in the final third. They’ve won their last two away matches 3-1 and 5-1 and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see them get two or three here.

FC Emmen vs Fortuna Sittard – Over 2.5 Goals

The Eredivisie is always a reliable source of goals and we head to FC Emmen vs Fortuna Sittard on Sunday. The hosts it just outside the relegation zone and it’s their home form which is keeping them afloat. They’ve scored six times in their last two matches here and were involved in a very entertaining 3-3 draw with Feyenoord in September. Three of their four home games have finished with three or more goals and this should be another cracker. Sittard are struggling, however they did beat Feyenoord 4-2 prior to the International Break. They’ve conceded 14 times in their four away games although they’ve faced some tough opposition. Six of their nine games have featured Over 2.5 Goals and with their lack of defensive nous, they could concede a few here.
