Peter Drury’s commentary on Vincent Kompany’s goal was everything you’d have expected.

Vincent Kompany has been a stalwart through the development of Manchester City over the last 10 years and with tears at the final whistle, people began speculating whether that was his last Premier League game in front of the Etihad Stadium.

If this is how he will bow out, and if Manchester City do finish the job by beating Brighton next weekend, it will sit along side the Sergio Aguero goal against QPR as the most famous goal the stadium has ever seen, and what better man to commentate on it.
