Nice vs Montpellier Betting Tip – Nice Win

The first of our European football betting tips comes from Ligue 1 where Nice welcome Montpellier to the Cote D’Azur. Patrick Vieira may have got off to a rocky start at the Allianz Riviera, but he’s turned things around, and his side are extremely hard to beat, particularly on their own patch. They’ve conceded just once in front of their own fans since December 16th, and just twice since October 16th.

They’ve got a number of their trickier assignments out of the way, having already faced PSG and Marseille earlier in the campaign, and they’ll be confident of remaining unbeaten here for the remainder of the season.

In their last five Ligue 1 games, they have netted just three goals, but they’ve also only conceded three times as well. Don’t expect this one to be a classic, but do expect Nice to make it difficult for Montpellier.

Les Aiglons will also have the benefit of seven days off ahead of this tie whereas their opponents were in action on Wednesday night. Montpellier beat lowly Guingamp fairly comfortably in the end, but it was their first clean sheet in five. The visitors draw an awful lot on the road, and the 0-0 is the danger scoreline here, but I fancy Nice to nick a winner.

More ambitious punters could try a 1-0 correct score, but we’ll stick with the hosts in this one.

Celta Vigo vs Real Sociedad Betting Tip – Over 2.5 Goals

Our second betting tips takes us to La Liga, where Celta Vigo are aiming to make it three unbeaten. They are currently plotting the great escape, but their defence continues to let them down.

They’ve scored six goals in their last two matches, and were involved in a 3-3 thriller on Wednesday night with bottom club Huesca. They also stuck three past Villareal during their last home match, coming from 2-0 down to beat the Yellow Submarine, and I fancy another entertaining 90 minutes here.

Real Sociedad are bobbing along nicely, and they got back to winning ways on Thursday night. There may be some tired legs in the side, but I expect them to contribute to a highly watchable contest.

Sociedad usually do find the net, and they seriously fancy their chances against this shaky Celta back-line.

Three of the last five meetings between these sides have ended with three goals, and I expect another high-scoring affair here.

Cagliari vs SPAL Betting Tip – Cagliari Win

Our third European betting tip comes from Serie A as Cagliari welcome SPAL to Sardinia. Very few teams enjoy a visit to the Island, and only three sides – Juventus, Napoli and Atalanta have come away with maximum points this season.

SPAL are in a decent run of form, and it’s helped them pull away from trouble. They beat Lazio in midweek, making it three wins in a row, but this will be tough. They are still just five points above a resurgent(ish) Bologna, and they know that they can’t afford to rest on their laurels just yet.

They have lost both of their previous trips to this ground, and despite their good recent fortunes, their away form remains patchy. They’ve won just four times on their travels, beating Parma, Frosinone, Bologna and Roma.

The hosts have seen off Inter Milan and Fiorentina here recently, and they did give Juventus a few problems in their most recent outing. They’ve conceded just 15 times in 15 home matches, and won’t be easy to break down.

They also recently beat Chievo on the road, a remarkable feat considering their poor record away from home.

Cagliari will make it tough for SPAL, who are likely to see their winning run come to an end here.
