Manchester City to win

Not many would argue against Manchester City winning this one. City are unbeaten in the Champions League this season, winning three and drawing two of their opening five fixtures. They are three points clear at the top of Group G, conceding just one goal in the competition so far this season. Sevilla have won only one of their five Champions League fixtures played so far this season, and I don’t think they’ll get their second win of the group in this one as they visit the Etihad to play Manchester City.

Teixeira Marcao is a very physical player, and playing at the back against a Manchester City side comprising the likes of  Haaland, Foden, Silva and Grealish. He will be in for a very long evening at the Etihad, and I think he will have to make a number of fouls as he tries to prevent City from breaching their defence. He has picked up two yellow cards in just four La Liga matches this season, and has made two fouls in two Champions League games this season. I expect he will make more than two fouls in this one and I think he is excellent odds to see yellow.

 

Kevin De Bruyne to score

Kevin De Bruyne isn’t always City’s source of goals. However, he has three goals in the Premier League so far this season and bagged himself a goal last time out against Leicester, which was the only goal of the game in a 0-1 win for the Champions. He is waiting for his first Champions League goal of the season, but with an average shots tally of 3.38 per game, it’s coming for the Belgian and I think he is excellent odds to bag a goal here.
