Cheltenham – 12:05

Olly Murphy’s yard is in excellent form and they can celebrate another winner in the shape of Washington. He still didn’t look to be the finished article when finishing second in a small-field Grade 2 Novices Handicap at this track when last seen last month. But with more improvement to come, he can get his head in front in this Class 3 Novices’ Hurdle under the ride of Aidan Coleman.

Selection: Washington (2/1 with William Hill)

Doncaster – 12:30

The Mighty Arc won in impressive style on his chase debut at Worcester four weeks ago and with further improvement likely, he can defy an 8lb rise to score again in this Class 4 Handicap Chase over 2m3f. The booking of Brian Hughes is also a big positive for trainer, Charlie Longsdon.

Selection: The Mighty Arc (5/2 with William Hill)

Cheltenham – 14:25

The Paul Nicholls trained Enrilo was going well before coming down in the Ladbrokes Trophy on his return from a seven month break two weeks ago, and he will remain on a competitive mark for this Grade 3 Handicap Chase over 3m2f. He had finished first in the Gold Cup at Sandown in April but was disqualified for hanging left and hampering a rival, so was placed third. So, he clearly possesses plenty of talent and he can be guided to victory by Harry Cobden.

Selection: Enrilo (9/4 with William Hill)

Doncaster – 14:50

Jack Sharp returned from an eight-month break to win at Uttoxeter in a Maiden Hurdle and looks an interesting prospect at a good price now turning to Handicap company. He won by over 4-lengths on his reappearance and remains on the same mark for this Class 4 Novices’ Handicap Hurdle over 2m3½f for the Alastair Ralph yard. Jonathan Burke is back in the saddle.

Selection: Jack Sharp (4/1 with William Hill)

Cheltenham – 15:35

Sporting John returns to Cheltenham following last month’s victory and he can follow up for trainer, Philip Hobbs, in this Class 2 Handicap Hurdle over 3m. Having not had the best of campaigns over the fences last season, he very much got back on track when making a winning reappearance on his handicap debut. Tom O’Brien takes the ride again.

Selection: Sporting John (13/8 with William Hill)
