20/1 Cheltenham Favourites Accumulator Tip – 4 Festival Favourites to Keep Onside

Cheltenham free bet competition

We’ve taken a look at some of the Cheltenham favourites today and after picking some to avoid, we now have four Cheltenham Festival favourites to keep on side and even consider putting in a Cheltenham accumulator across the four days.

‘Bankers’ are tough to pick as the strength of pressure grows when adding that word to a tip or an article but below are 4 favourites at Cheltenham I cant see being beaten.

These four picks can be added to a Cheltenham accumulator tip for 2023 at odds of around 20/1 with a few bookies including Betfred, who are NRNB for every race and have a £40 sign-up bonus.

Shiskin to win the Ryanair Chase

As mentioned when asked whether Shishkin would win at Cheltenham, I would be amazed if Shishkin doesn’t win the Ryanair if he’s anywhere near his form from his last outing in the Ascot Chase. The race lacks any other real, consistent quality and you could even make a case for him being shorter because he would 100% be shorter if we knew the ‘old’ Shishkin would show up.

Obviously, there will be small doubts in people’s minds following his 2 previous starts before that win at Ascot but those doubts are not in my head.  Shishkin is banker material and I wouldn’t advise anything to take him on with. He just wins.

Luccia to win the Mares Novices Hurdle

The mares races at the Festival are usually won by the Irish and in particular Closutton but Luccia is hoping to make it 2/2 for the British this year after Love Envoi’s success in the Mares Novice last year. Luccia is the standout mare in this field and should take all the beating. Thrown into listed company on hurdles debut (very rare for Nicky to do so) at Newbury, she bolted up to cement her place at the top of the market. A place she has sat all season.

There’s no secret the magnitude this horse is thought of at Seven Barrows and there’s even been talk of the mare taking her chance against the boys in the Supreme (see our Supreme Novices Hurdle 2023 tip). She wouldn’t be out of place in that and it was a shame she missed the G1 Tolworth hurdle at Sandown in January as we could have really seen what she’s capable of.

Impressive last time out again at Exeter, Luccia looks an absolute weapon. There doesn’t seem to be a star novice mare in Ireland this season and although there’s a couple of progressive types to ask Luccia some questions, I don’t think they can lay a glove on her and I fully expect her to defy a 5lb penalty and romp these into submission.

Mighty Potter to win the Turners Novices Chase

This horse is the apple of Jack Kennedy’s eye and you can see why. A double G1 winner over hurdles, Gordon said we would not see the best of this lad until he jumped a fence and how right he was. He’s 3/3 over the large obstacles this season with 2 impressive displays in the Drinmore and at the Dublin Racing Festival. He has gone to a new level this season and has seemed to improve for every run. His jumping is grand, goes on both soft/heavy and good ground and has plenty of speed.

I believe he has it all and is the perfect type for the Turners. It’s a division that has disappointed me slightly this year with the novice chasers not as good as I thought they might be. In my opinion, Banbridge is the main danger to this beast but I don’t believe any of the field will get close to him. He’s the stand out horse in this field and should justify a short price to win with his head in his chest

Delta Work to win the Cross Country Chase

Delta Work broke the heart of Tiger Roll and thousands of racing fans’ hearts in the process when winning the Cross Country last year. It was his first run in the race but it was evident that it wouldn’t be his last and he will be mopping up races in this sphere for a few years yet. He’s been ante-post favourite all season and his current odds of Even money is about right.

He’s a G1 horse in a field of handicappers (except Galvin) but without having to give the weight away. His stablemate Galvin has been confirmed for the race which makes his task slightly trickier and is far from ideal for his backers but I believe Delta Work’s class and experience of the course/fences will prove to be too much for Galvin et al. Delta Work is a banker.
