Four Cheltenham Each-way Tips for an 18,000/1 Accumulator & Lucky 15

Cheltenham accumulator tips

The 2025 Cheltenham Festival is here and Adam has picked out four each-way handicap tips to make up a whopping 8007/1 accumulator that we’d recommend playing as a lucky 15.

Handicaps can often be deemed difficult races to bet in and find a winner. But they are changing, especially at the Festival. Last year we only had 1 handicap winner bigger than 12/1 (Monmiral at 25/1 in the Pertemps) and I believe this year will be similar. Looking towards the top end of the market (not necessarily the favourites) worked last year and looking at the races and the betting for them this year, I don’t believe they will be many big-priced winners.

The ground doesn’t look extreme (heavy or good), which reduces the chance of shocks or big-priced winners.

My selections below are horses who aren’t missed in the market but who I believe offer great value in the races they run in. I would advise backing these in each-way singles, multis and in a Lucky 15. The accumulator is 18,000/1 ante-post or 8000/1 with NRNB.

Best of luck for the week!!

Hallgarten And Novum Wines Juvenile Handicap Hurdle (Registered As The Fred Winter)

Beyond Your Dreams has been on my mind for this race for a while now, but as we have gone through the preview scene, it seems that every man and his dog have also had her on their radar, and that has made the price shorter than ideal for a competitive handicap like this.

I still think she is the play though and comes from powerful connections related to this race. Trainer Joseph O’Brien has won this race twice in the last 6 years (Band of Outlaws & last year’s winner, Lark in the Morning) and owner JP McManus has also won this twice in the last 5 years (Aramax and Brazil). Both have several chances here but I’m adamant the mare is the one to get behind and I believe she’s been laid out for this.

The mare had 3 quick runs in 6 weeks over hurdles between the start of November and mid-December. She had a monster 8 runs on the flat in 2024 prior to her hurdles debut meaning she was on the go for a while. Hopefully, that race experience can benefit her in this.

She has been off the track since then which has been the plan and now comes back here fresh. She wasn’t missed by the British handicapper but the 6lb rise means she will get into the race, and I think she will take some beating off 123. That mark still looks lenient in comparison to Total Look and Wendrock who she was sandwiched between in her last start over hurdles.

The 7/1 available is now a bit skinny but I think she has an outstanding chance and if Mark Walsh decides to ride (over Puturhandstogether) then I believe she will go off a lot shorter come 16:40 on Tuesday.

Coral Cup

Comfort Zone

For me, the most competitive handicap of the week and I’ve doubled down on my previous picks connections to find the winner. Owned by JP McManus and trained by Joseph O’Brien, I’m hoping for a good week for the pair. This horse has a similar profile to my first selection in the fact that this horse was kept on the go throughout 2024 before having a break and coming here fresh.

It’s an interesting profile and campaign but I think the selective and patient planning could be rewarded for the biggest stage.

The formbook during the majority of 2024 (which showed a mix of runs on the flat and over hurdles) wouldn’t be something to shout about but his run last time over Christmas showed encouragement when 3rd in the Neville Hotels Premier Handicap Hurdle.

His form from 2 seasons ago when winning 2 Grade 2s as a juvenile hurdler is decent form and I believe he can still be a classy animal. Joseph O’Brien is known for his patience and plotting of horses, and I believe this has been the plan for a while. He ticks a lot of the boxes needed for this race (form over 2m, course form, he’s the right age and he often wears headgear) and I’m happy to side with him. I think he goes off single figures so take the price when you can.

Grand Annual Chase

Jazzy Matty

This year’s Grand Annual looks like a poor renewal but I like one in here who has already tasted success at the festival. Jazzy Matty (ridden by the late, great Mikey O’Sullivan) won the 2023 Boodles Fred Winter, and I believe he will be back in the winner’s enclosure this year.

Like my previous selections, this horse has had quite a unique campaign having run 6 times over fences from 24th July to the 25th October before having a quiet winter. The start in July was his chasing debut and he has built up a vast amount of experience during the season which included a 2nd to Path d’Oroux at Cheltenham in October despite conceding 8lb and chasing experience to a horse officially rated higher. That was an encouraging run and one that’s been in my mind all season when thinking about this race.

He’s only run once since then – a spin over hurdles in January to blow the cobwebs away and leave him right for March. I believe this race has been the plan all season and he comes here with a strong chance. Novices have a good record in this race and with an unexposed profile and a previous festival win to his name, he ticks many boxes and I think he is a huge player.

Pertemps Handicap Hurdle

Feet of a Dancer

This was a race that became weaker at the 5 day stage when leading fancy The Wallpark was pulled from this and it was confirmed that he was running in the Stayers Hurdle 80 minutes later. With that chance now out of the equation im happy to take the top of the market on. I think Jeriko Du Reponet is an awful price and I can’t be having him in this at all.

Even though I’m happy to take the very top of the market on, it bodes well to not look too far down the betting with 9 of the last 11 winners going off 14/1 or shorter. My selection currently sits at 11/1 and I think that stinks of good value.

Paul Nolan isn’t one of the biggest trainers in Ireland but he knows how to get one ready for this race having trained the winner of the 2021 renewal in Mrs Milner. Feet of a Dancer has a similar profile to her (same age, sex, similar number of runs in career, similar rating and preparation) and comes here slightly under the radar due to who her trainer is.

She comes here fresh off the back of a run at Xmas when she finished 3rd to qualify for the final. That race has been kind, come the final in the past, with 6 of the last 9 winners taking in that qualifier which is a strong trend.

She has so many things going for her and I think she has a great chance to give Paul Nolan his 4th Cheltenham festival winner.
