Horse Racing Tips: Four Best Each-Way Bets for Meetings on Wednesday
There is some great jump racing taking place on Wednesday afternoon from Fontwell and Worcester.
Rain has been forecast for most parts of the UK over the next few days, which could benefit some runners, and hinder others. We’ve had a look at each race from these meetings and highlighted our four best each-way bets below.

Fontwell – 1:55
This looks a competitive Class 4 Handicap Chase and claims can be made for most of the 6 runners. However, our each-way selection is Darebin who goes for the Gary Moore yard. He was a distant second here earlier in the month over the same 2m2f trip, against better opposition and wasn’t helped that day by the heavy ground. That was also a first run since May so he should improve for it and as long as not too much rain falls overnight, he should give another good account with Jamie Moore in the saddle.
Selection: Darebin (6/1 with William Hill)
Fontwell – 3:05
Another competitive 6-runner contest, which will be raced over 2m5½f. Helfold River gets the each-way nod despite the short price. He arrives in excellent form and goes for a hat-trick after a win at Newton Abbot in September was followed up with another success at this track last month. That was on soft ground, and he is only raised 2lb for that win. His form has been revived since teaming up with jockey, Brendan Powell, and he is in the saddle once more for the Colin Tizzard yard.
Selection: Helfold River (11/4 with William Hill)
Worcester – 3:58
Taste The Fear can pick up from where he left off after 95 days off the track. He enjoyed an excellent summer and returns in this Class 2 Handicap Hurdle over 2m4f. The selection ended his previous campaign with a Class 2 win at Market Rasen and has failed to finish outside the top three in each of his last two runs, which has included two wins. Sam Twiston-Davies is back on board and this team can go well again.
Selection: Taste The Fear (4/1 with William Hill)
Fontwell – 4:45
The final race of the day at Fontwell is over 3m2f and is a Class 5 Handicap Chase. The each-way selection, Orchestrated, went off at odds of 100/1 at Bangor in September over 3m and was staying on to finish fifth that day, suggesting this slightly longer trip might also suit. His last run was on Saturday where he finished 2nd, at Stratford, so the trainer, Max Young, must have faith to turn him out again so soon. Charlie Hammond takes the ride.
Selection: Orchestrated (6/1 with William Hill)
