Taunton – 2:30
Six runners go in the Class 3 Invest Southwest Handicap Hurdle over 2m½f, and although the Donald McCain 7yo, See The Sea, is likely to go off as favourite, we think Glory And Honour can push his rival all the way. The selection returned from a six month break to compete in a Class 1, Grade 3 contest at Chepstow earlier this month. He was soundly beaten that day, but the run will have done him good, and he drops back to a Class he will find more comfortable. He also drops 3lbs and looks to be on a more competitive mark under the ride of jockey, Thomas Doggrell.
Selection: Glory And Honour (9/2 with William Hill)
Taunton – 3:05
The Taunton Racecourse Annual Membership Available Today Handicap Hurdle is another competitive 6-runner contest, which is raced over 2m3f. The each-way selection is the ever consistent, King’s Proctor, who goes for the Milton Harris yard. He has finished in the top three in each of his last five races and continues to fall down the weights, so could be going off a dangerous mark in this one. His main rival looks to be Soul Icon, who goes for a hat-trick of wins, but after two months off the track, King’s Proctor could improve for his break.
Selection: King’s Proctor (4/1 with William Hill)
Fakenham – 3:50
Achy Breaky Heart goes for the hat-trick in the Class 5 Greene King IPA Novices’ Handicap Chase over 3m but has been raised 9lb for his latest win. So, we like the look of Sunny Express who produced a much better run at Uttoxeter earlier this month to finish second of nine. He drops another 2lb for that and now looks to be on a dangerous mark for trainer, Warren Greatrex. He also goes under the ride of the excellent Gavin Sheehan and should be prove a real threat to the favourite.
Selection: Sunny Express (11/2 with William Hill)
Nottingham – 3:55
East Asia and C’Est No Mour renew acquittances after 66 days in the Class 3 Bet At racingtv.com Handicap over 1m6f. They last met at Salisbury in August, where C’Est No Mour won by nearly 4-lengths. However, the selection is East Asia, who went off as favourite on that day looked like he needed a rest when hanging badly in the final 110 yards. He can return fresh and is down 1lb from his last run. He also has William Buick back in the saddle, which is a major plus as his last two wins came under Buick rides.
Selection: East Asia (5/1 with William Hill)
