A 7lb rise in the weights makes life a little more difficult, but he remains lightly raced for an 8-year-old and may be able to take another step forward for his in-form yard.

However, he is just 1lb higher in weights than when a close third in a similar race over course and distance in November and, with conditions in his favour, may be able to take advantage of this easier assignment.

The Belardo filly Fearless Angel has made a bright start to her career, winning two of her first three starts, including on her Tapeta debut at Wolverhampton on Boxing Day. She tackles 6 furlongs for the first time here, but the balance of her form looks strong and she may be able to concede weight all round on her handicap debut.
