Birmingham got off to a great start in the Championship, picking up a brilliant 1-0 win over Brentford on the opening weekend. They then drew 1-1 with Bristol City before a 3-0 defeat at Nottingham Forest on Saturday gave them their first defeat of the season.

Barnsley have also made a decent start to the season, despite the loss of striker Keiffer Moore to Wigan. They drew 2-2 with their fellow newly-promoted side Charlton Athletic at the weekend and started the season with a 1-0 win against Fulham. In between those results was a loss in the League Cup against Carlisle United and a 2-0 league loss to Sheffield Wednesday.
