Tony Mowbray’s side made a good start to life back in the Championship last season but eventually fell away from the play-off places to finish in mid-table. They have managed to keep hold of star man Bradley Dack to this point in the transfer window and he will once again be the key man to their season. They’ve picked up a couple of experienced players on free transfers this summer in Bradley Johnson and Stewart Downing as well as Sam Gallagher for £5million from Southampton.

Charlton won the League One play-off final last season to get back into the second tier and they’ll be hoping to survive longer in this division this time around. They’ve not done much transfer business but Lee Bowyer has started his managerial career really well and he should get the best out of this group of players in a very difficult league.
