Pepe splits the Arsenal fans opinions but he has had a decent pre-season and looks set to be a big part of Mikel Arteta’s team this season. Brentford will play without fear in this match, and throughout this season and that means chances at both ends. Pepe isn’t afraid of shooting and he’s played a big part in Arsenal’s friendly matches this summer, so we’re tipping him to have 2 or more shots on target in this one.

An open game is expected here and this could lead to an exciting fixture to open up the new Premier League season. The Gunners are unlikely to enjoy this trip to Brentford’s new stadium but with Aubameyang, Lacazette and Pepe in their side, it is hard to see them not scoring. Brentford will be relying on last season’s Championship top goalscorer Ivan Toney to get the goals and with Arsenal’s poor defensive record through pre-season, it would be no surprise to see Brentford register here.

The Brentford striker will want to continue where he left off last season and being on penalty duty always increases the chances of an anytime goalscorer bet landing.
