Tonight’s Champions League Betting Tips

There is still a lot to be decided with two rounds of fixtures still to play. Spurs and Man City secured their passage to the knockout stages last night and Liverpool will do so with a point tonight. Chelsea will be looking to avoid defeat in Valencia to keep themselves right in contention ahead of the last round of matches. See my four Champions League tips for tonight’s games below:

Liverpool vs Napoli Prediction

Jurgen Klopp’s side are almost unbeatable at home but this will be a big test. However, Napoli come into the match in bad form having failed to win in their last six matches now including being held to a 1-1 draw against Salzburg. Liverpool have not been prolific themselves in this qualifying process at Anfield, beating Salzburg 4-3 after a scare, and winning 2-1 against Genk. Napoli won the reverse fixture 2-0 and they are usually a strong defensive unit, but Liverpool will get through their backline tonight. I’m also predicting Napoli will get on the scoresheet so my first prediction for the night is Liverpool to win and BTTS.

RB Leipzig vs Benfica Prediction

These two sides are always amongst the goals and tonight may be no different. Leipzig are top of Group G and will qualify with a point here but they’ll want to ensure a top placed finish and a win takes them to within a point of that. For my betting tip, I’m looking at a RB Leipzig win and over 3.5 goals in the match. Leipzig’s last six games have finished 4-0, 2-0, 6-1, 8-0 and 4-1 and for Benfica, their last two Champions League fixtures have ended in 3-1 defeats. The Portuguese side always try to attack and that has been their downfall in the competition this season having conceded nine times.

Barcelona vs Borussia Dortmund Prediction

My last prediction for tonight’s Champions League fixtures comes from the flagship match between Barca and Dortmund. Both of these sides are in the qualifying positions at the moment but Dortmund will be looking over their shoulders, with Inter just three points behind. For this tip, I’m predicting a comfortable Barcelona win. They have won 4-1, 5-1 and 4-0 in three of their last four home matches and Dortmund have failed to score in their last three away games now, including a 2-0 defeat to Inter Milan in their last Champions League fixture. This poor run of form may continue tonight so I’m predicting Barcelona to win by two goals or more and the odds for this are 5/4.
