It has been a tough qualification process for these two teams given that Real Madrid and PSG are in the same group as them. That has left the sides fighting for the Europa League place and itis currently Club Brugge in pole position for that. They’re a point ahead of Gala thanks to a surprise 2-2 draw away to Real Madrid. Brugge sit top of their domestic table with a six point lead (and game in hand) over second placed Standard Liege.

The Turkish side have had a disastrous campaign so far and they’ve picked up just one point (the draw in Brugge) and haven’t yet scored a goal. To their credit though, they only lost 1-0 at hme against both PSG and Real Madrid.

Even though this match points towards a low scoring affair, I would not be surprised if both sides go for the win here and we get an exciting clash. Gala lost 6-0 against Real Madrid in their last match but they do normally score goals at home. They’ve recently won 2-0 and 3-2 in the league. Club Brugge are flying domestically and I’m predicting they’ll just edge this game in Turkey. They drew 2-2 in Madrid and only lost 1-0 in Paris against PSG. With that in mind, the first Galatasaray vs Club Brugge prediction is for the score to be a 2-1 victory for the Belgian side.

Even though the stats might point to a low scoring match here, I’m expecting the shackles to come off and with Brugge likely to play their attacking style of football that served them so well in Madrid, we could get a few goals here. Galatasaray haven’t scored in the Champions League group stages yet this season but I’m hopeful that will change this week.
