Napoli manager Carlo Ancelotti was without Polish striker Arkadiusz Milik for the start of the Serie A season, he missed both opening games. Lorenzo Insigne was back on the bench for the 2-0 weekend win over Sampdoria and could return to the starting line-up. He scored the winner in this fixture last season. Lozana could drop to the bench if Insigne does get back into the starting line-up.

Liverpool will still be without goalkeeper Alisson for this match after his injury on the opening weekend of the season.
