Norwich vs Ipswich Predictions and Betting Tips: Championship Preview
Norwich vs Ipswich predictions and betting tips for this Sunday afternoon Championship fixture on February 10th with an anytime goalscorer tip and goals prediction included.
The second East Anglian derby of the season takes place on Sunday afternoon and these two sides are undoubtedly heading in opposite directions. This is the 90th time that this fixture has been played out and it always throws up plenty of entertainment. Norwich sit top of the Championship table and will be looking to extend their advantage here. Ipswich need something to kick-start their battle against relegation but Paul Lambert’s side just don’t have enough quality and they are unlikely to cause an upset this time around. See our Norwich vs Ipswich predictions below.

Norwich vs Ipswich Predictions
Daniel Farke’s side have been a joy to watch this season and they continued their terrific form with an important 4-1 success against Leeds last weekend. It was one of their best displays of the season and they enter this derby full of confidence. The Canaries are actually harder to beat on the road with just one defeat so far on their travels but they will be expected to pick up three points here. Paul Lambert comes up against his former club and his side have nothing to lose as they’re widely expected to fall short here. He’s added a number of new faces to his squad and we are likely to see the likes of James Bree, Will Keane and Alan Judge all feature in this game but overall, Norwich have a stronger XI. They have only won one of their last four home matches but this shouldn’t be as tough as games against Sheffield United, Derby County and Nottingham Forest. Norwich are 2/5 to win this game and that’s slightly too short so add Over 1.5 Goals into the mix and we’re getting 7/10. I would go for something slightly more ambitious but this derby is never straightforward and the first of my Norwich vs Ipswich predictions is Norwich Win and Over 1.5 Match Goals.
Norwich vs Ipswich Under/Over Goals
Norwich have been free-scoring in recent weeks and they are the second highest goalscorers in the division. With 57 goals so far, they are close to overtaking West Brom as the Championship’s most prolific operators. They’ve scored 16 times in their last seven matches and they are yet to keep a clean sheet in 2019. Their defence is a slight concern and even though Ipswich are light on goals, they could easily find the net here. It’s not a match-up which typically produces tons of goals but BTTS has landed in four of the last five meetings. None of the last five have featured three or more goals so it’s much safer to opt for 2-3 goals exactly at 11/10. This would have landed in four of the last five East Anglian derbies and in eight of Ipswich’s last nine away games. 2-3 Goals Exactly is the second of our Norwich vs Ipswich predictions for Sunday.
Norwich vs Ipswich Anytime Goalscorer Predictions
Teemu Pukki is going to be a very popular selection in the anytime goalscorer market and it’s not the most inspiring selection but the Finn is in flying form at the moment. He’s netted in four of Norwich last five home games and has helped fire the Canaries up the table. He’s looking to make it 20 goals in all competitions here and he’s proved adept at scoring all different types of goals. Ipswich’s defence has been far from secure this season and if they take their eye off Pukki for a second, he could take full advantage. Pukki to Score Anytime is the third of our Championship betting tips for Sunday.
Norwich vs Ipswich Match Betting Preview
With these two sides at opposite end of the table, the match odds were always going to be fairly one-sided. Norwich start at around 4/11 to win this game and extend their advantage at the top of the table. Ipswich are 15/2 to pull off an almighty shock here and it’s 18/5 to end all-square, again!
Both Teams to Score has landed regularly in this fixture but the bookies clearly aren’t expecting Ipswich to find the net here. Norwich rarely keep a clean sheet so 6/5 looks like value here on the BTTS market. It’s 8/13 for BTTS? No.
Our anytime goalscorer pick is Teemu Pukki and he leads the way in the first goalscorer market as well. He’s available at 3/1 to net the opener in this fixture. Jordan Rhodes is 4/1 to break the deadlock although he may need to do it from the bench. Onal Hernandez has scored plenty of goals at Carrow Road this season and he is 11/2 to score first.
