Charlton vs Forest Green Betting Tips

After returning to the Championship last season, a lot of people were predicting that Charlton would struggle, but after two wins in two matches, Lee Bowyer could not have been happier with his side. They probably won’t be too bothered about a cup run in the League Cup so changes will be made, however, we still expect a home win in this game.

Forest Green have also made a good start to their League Two season, picking up four points from a possible six. They have only scored two goals in those two matches though so we probably wouldn’t advise an over 2.5 goals bet on this tie. Having said that, a low scoring Charlton victory might be the best way to play this one.

With a game against fellow promotion side Barnsley coming up at the weekend, we’re expecting a few changes to be made by Lee Bowyer and that might mean there isn’t a convincing victory for the Championship side that some would expect. Forest Green might be keen to get a decent cup run so we’re not expecting many changed from their manager Mark Cooper.
