Derby vs Swansea Preview

Derby finished 6^th in the Championship qualifying for the playoffs, before losing to Aston Villa in the final and missing out on promotion. On top of that they have lost Lampard who left to fill the seat vacated by Sarri at Chelsea after only 1 year in charge of the club.

Derby have since appointed Phillip Cocu who apart from a poor spell in charge of Fenerbahce, has a great record in the Eredivisie, winning 3 titles with PSV. They also announced a shock return for Rooney back to English football, with Rooney joining the club after his current season with DC United. Derby will hope along with Cocu to push for promotion once again this season.

Swansea finished last season under Graham Potter in 10^th along with an unlucky loss to Manchester City in the FA Cup quarterfinals where they were unlucky to not get a win. However they have lost Graham Potter to Brighton along with key players Daniel James to Manchester United and Mcburnie to Sheffield United. They have not made any huge signings to replace the outgoing players and have appointed Steve Cooper to hopefully push for a playoff spot.

 

Derby vs Swansea Betting Tips

Derby and Swansea both won their opening fixtures as Derby defeated recently relegated Huddersfield 2-1 with a brace from Tom Lawrence. Swansea too won 2-1, defeating Hull on the back of goals from Borja Baston and van der Hoorn.

We expect a tight game but predict Derby to get a narrow 1-0 victory in a low scoring matchup.
