England welcome Greece to Wembley on Thursday under interim manager Lee Carsley, who will be keen on another win to bolster his chances of getting the job permanently. England have one of the best international squads in world football and this will be an incredibly difficult game for Greece. The Three Lions are 1/25 to win their Nations League group.

Greece have won their opening two Nations League games – a 3-0 win over Finland and a 0-2 win over Ireland. They are second favourites to win the group at 10/1.

England have lost just two of their last 10 fixtures in all competitions, following their trip to the EURO 2024 final in the summer. It was heartbreak in the end for Gareth Southgate’s side, and they’re now looking to get back to League A in the Nations League. They come into this one having won both of their opening fixtures; 0-2 against Ireland and 2-0 against Finland. I think they’ll win this one fairly comfortably at home.

Cole Palmer has been outstanding for Chelsea so far this season, scoring six goals in his opening seven Premier League matches of this campaign. It would be extremely difficult for Lee Carsley to not feature him in this game given his form, and I think he’s great odds for a shot on target.

We’re going for just one player to be carded in this one – Konstantinos Tsmikas. The Liverpool full-back will be in for an incredibly tough afternoon against a star-studded England front line. He has been booked twice in his last eight appearances for the national team, including last time out against Ireland. He will likely be the direct opponent of Bukayo Saka here. I think he’s excellent odds for a card tonight.
