Europa League Predictions: Betting Tips for Tonight’s British Teams

Manchester United, Leicester, Tottenham, Rangers and Arsenal are all in Europa League action tonight and Fabio has picked out his best betting tip for each of the fixtures.

All five of the teams are away from home in their first leg including Leicester’s trip to Slavia Prague and Arsenal facing a tough first leg at Benfica.

Real Sociedad vs Manchester United

Manchester United to Win 23/20 with William Hill

Real Sociedad are currently fifth in La Liga having fallen off a bit after a very strong start. Just three wins in their last 13 league games is concerning form leading into this tough game. One loss in their last seven paints a rosier picture but this is not a side in form.

Manchester United’s form is much harder to decipher. The Red Devils had been on a 13 game unbeaten run in the league until Sheffield United’s shock win. Since then, United have won just once in four games, a 9-0 demolition of Southampton.

Manchester United are the stringer team on paper and with neither side’s form all that impressive, Solskjaer’side should take a lead into the second leg.

 

Slavia Prague vs Leicester

Youri Tielemans to Score – 23/5 with William Hill

The Belgian international has matched his best tally at Leicester with five goals on all comps so far this season. Tielemans has netted twice in the Premier League in 2021 and has penalty duties should Vardy be off the pitch.

Leicester are favourites to beat Slavia Prague and the Foxes should create plenty of chances. Brendan Rodgers saw three different players net against Liverpool last time out and if the goals are shared around, you could do worse than to back the Tielemans.

 

Wolfsberger vs Tottenham

Halftime/Fulltime Tottenham/Tottenham – 6/5 with Bet Victor

On paper, this is one of the most one-sided ties of the round. Tottenham should have little trouble in getting past Austrian side Wolfsberger. The odds on a straight Spurs win aren’t worth backing so we’ve had to look a little deeper for some value.

Harry Kane’s return to action is timely news and should the England captain start, Spurs can get off to a quick start. Even without him, Tottenham have a large complement of players with European experience and a halftime/full-time win is entirely plausible.

 

Antwerp vs Rangers

Rangers to Win – 11/10 with Bet Victor

Rangers are yet to taste defeat in their domestic league having taken a large step towards the SPL title. Steven Gerrard has overseen a remarkable season with little sign of letting up.

Their Europa League knockout opponents are Belgian side, Royal Antwerp. They are currently a distant second in the league and haven’t beaten any of the current top five sides. Eight defeats in a relatively weak league suggests that Rangers have enough to pick up an away win here.

 

Benfica vs Arsenal

Arsenal to Win – 7/5 Bet Victor

The home side have slipped in the Portuguese title race following a run of poor results. The Lisbon side have picked up just one win in their last six league matches (against bottom side Famalicao).

Arsenal ended a run of three without a victory with a relatively straightforward 4-2 victory over Leeds at the weekend. The Gunners have been up and down this season but a hat-trick for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will have done him, and the rest of the side a world of good.

The Gunners can put one foot into the next round with a win against an out-of-form Benfica.
