Malmo vs Chelsea Predictions

it has been a tough few weeks for Chelsea and their manager Maurizio Sarri. He has been widely criticised after four straight away defeats and no goals scored. The Europa League has been a happier hunting ground for Chelsea and they won five of their six home matches, drawing only the last game when already qualified. It is hard to see them not scoring against this Malmo side but both teams to score is going to be the betting tip.

The Swedish outfit haven’t even started their season yet so they’ve relied on friendlies to keep up match fitness, but in the eight Europa League matches they’ve played so far this season, they have scored in seven of those. Three of their last four have seen both teams to score as well.

 

Malmo vs Chelsea Anytime Scorer Prediction

New Chelsea striker Gonzalo Higuain is the favourite in the anytime goalscorer market for this match and the Argentine has already made his mark with two goals on his Premier League debut. His odds are short to score here though so we’d prefer to look elsewhere. Give that we’re predicting a tough match for Chelsea here, it may be better value to go for a Malmo player as our anytime goalscorer tip tonight and striker Marcus Antonsson could be a shrewd bet. He’s already got five goals in the Europa League this season and at odds of 16/5 with William Hill to score against Chelsea, that looks a good bet. The former Blackburn and Leeds man has scored in Malmo’s last three Europa League matches.

Correct Score Prediction

Despite expecting a tough match for Chelsea here, they might just get the edge over Malmo and that could be down to fitness. The Swedish league doesn’t start until April and although they ahve cup matches prior to that, their match fitness will be a concern here.
