Football Tips – Back These Three Teams to Shine in an 8/1 Tuesday Treble

There is more Football League action tonight to go alongside the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Brighton and the lower leagues is where our Tuesday treble comes from this week.

Away from the uproar surrounding the European Super League, Norwich have confirmed promotion back to the Premier League and they can seal the title with a win over second-placed Watford tonight. Elsewhere, there is plenty still to place for in League One and League Two and our eye is cast over them leagues for the other betting tips.

 

6pm: Norwich to win vs Watford

It was a strange day for Norwich on Saturday. Their promotion was confirmed before they even kicked-off against Bournemouth and when they did kick-off, they lost 3-1. Daniel Farke will want to get the Championship title wrapped up as soon as possible and there would be no better three points to get than against second placed Watford. Before that loss to Bournemouth, Norwich had not lost in 19 home matches, winning 14 of those and conceding just twice in the last 10.

Watford have lost to Luton and drawn with Middlesbrough in their last two away matches and could have Swansea breathing down their neck with another loss here. The pressure might be starting to get to the Hornets so we’re backing Norwich to take wrap up the Championship title with a win here.

 

7.45pm: Hull to win vs Sunderland

The Tigers are another side with a big night ahead of them and they can secure promotion back to the Championship with a win against Sunderland. The Black Cats are faltering at the wrong time and come into this match off the back of three straight defeats and no win in four matches. They’ve taken just one point from their last three away games.

Hull on the other hand, have hit a good run of form in the last 6 weeks and find themselves 11 points ahead of third place. They have not lost in 11 matches now and have only dropped four points in that time and have kept six clean sheets in their last eight home matches. Hull are tipped to win here at a generous looking price.

 

7.45pm: Peterborough to win vs Gillingham

The final leg of our Tuesday treble also comes from League One and it’s second placed Peterborough to keep the pressure on Hull at the top with a win. Posh come into this match three points off the top and eight points clear of Sunderland. They’ve only lost once in their last 15 home matches (to Hull) and have won four and drawn one (against Sunderland) in their last five, including a 7-0 win over Accrington Stanley.

Gillingham are six points off the play-off places so that looks unlikely for them now and they’ve only won once in their last six matches. Away from home their last two results have been a 4-1 loss at Blackpool and 3-2 loss at Oxford, so although they might get on the scoresheet tonight, Peterborough are tipped to get the three points.
