Premier League Predictions: Crystal Palace vs Leicester, Chelsea vs Aston Villa & Everton vs Man City

The Christmas Premier League football rolls on and there are three more matches on Monday 29th December, including Everton’s second game in 48 hours, this time at home to Manchester City.

Before that, Crystal Palace play Leicester City and Chelsea play Aston Villa in what is a hectic schedule for all of these sides.

Everton climbed to second in the Premier League on Boxing Day and are five points behind their cross-city rivals, Liverpool. It’s been a tough few weeks for Frank Lampard and Chelsea and the same can be said for Crystal Palace, who are 14th in the table.

Managers will have little choice but to rotate their teams going into these games so we’re trying to predict the starting line-ups as well as the outcomes of the matches!

 

Crystal Palace vs Leicester Prediction

Leicester to Win – 21/20 with Bet365

Leicester have won all but one of their fixtures against current bottom-half sides. Their away record is especially impressive, having won six of their seven league games, including a 5-2 triumph over Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Palace have managed just one victory in their last seven and have failed to win any of their last four. Excluding their thrashing of ten-man West Brom, the Eagles have scored just two goals from their last six.

 

Chelsea vs Aston Villa Prediction

Three losses in four for Chelsea marks a tough festive period for the Blues. Chelsea have lost each of their last three away games but are unbeaten at home since an early-season loss to Liverpool in which Andreas Christensen saw red.

Olivier Giroud has scored twice in December in the league as well as his four-heroics in the Champions League. Having started on the bench on Boxing Day, Giroud is likely to get the nod upfront considering the short turnaround.

Despite racking up an impressive clean sheets tally, Aston Villa have conceded two or more goals on five occasions this season.

 

Everton vs Manchester City Prediction

Everton have returned to form with a fourth consecutive win in the league. The Toffees have managed three clean sheets in that period and have seen five of their last six games feature under 2.5 Goals.

Manchester City are enjoying a six-game unbeaten run with uncharacteristically low-scoring games. Only one of their last 12 Premier League games have seen over 2.5 goals. Five clean sheets from the last six suggests that Everton will find it tough to get on the scoresheet.
